Email to QR

Forward invoices to your own private ScanPay address and get the extracted data and QR code mailed straight back.

What it does

Email to QR gives you a private inbound email address. Forward an invoice to it (or have your accountant or a supplier send it) and ScanPay scans the attachment and emails the extracted data and SEPA QR code back to you. Each processed invoice uses one credit, just like a manual scan.

Setting it up

  1. 01

    Activate the feature

Open Email to QR and activate it. ScanPay generates a unique inbound email address just for you.

  2. 02

    Copy your address

Copy your personal inbound address. This is where you forward invoices to be scanned.

  3. 03

    Forward an invoice

Send or forward an email with the invoice attached to that address. The QR code comes back by email.

The Email to QR settings page
Your inbound address, allowed senders and a log of received emails.

Allowed senders

For security, ScanPay only processes invoices from senders you trust. Your own account email is allowed by default. Add the addresses of anyone else who should be able to send in invoices, such as a colleague or accountant.

Why allowed senders?

This prevents strangers from spending your credits by emailing your private address. Only approved senders are processed.

What you get back

Once an invoice is processed you receive an email containing:

  • The extracted payment details: amount, IBAN, reference and beneficiary.
  • The SEPA QR code to pay it with your banking app.

Frequently asked questions

Does it use credits?

Yes, each invoice processed by email uses one credit, the same as a manual scan.

What if I am out of credits?

The email is held instead of processed. Top up your credits and retry it from the Email to QR page.

Can my accountant send invoices?

Yes. Add their email address as an allowed sender and they can forward invoices to your inbound address.
